1st Week Struggles: Working With a Curriculum/Differentiation

Lesson planning has been tough since the English department is using a curriculum that has not completely been finalized. After my first summer, I learned the importance of planning at least two days in advance and having a clear idea of where students should be in a week.

Sincerely yours,

The hardest part has been trying to figure out how to present material at a level the students can understand and be challenged to extend themselves. I am looking forward to working with my mentor teacher, fellow teachers, and directors on achieving this. I am so pleased to have a great support network built in and to have a group of enthusiastic, idealistic colleagues!
