Rachel in Manchester: Now, the Kids

So, we’ve officially finished our training week and I am so incredibly excited for Monday to roll around! I can’t wait to put into practice all of the lesson plans I have been working on with my fellow faculty members and to meet all of the students whose names we have been playing picture memory games with so that we can know then before they arrive.

Training week itself was intense, but I can’t believe how many great people I have already met. All of these teachers, new and returning alike, are full of excitement and encouragement that has been inspiring to be around. The lesson plans and activities everyone has shared with the faculty have been well-planned out and fit great with all of the material we are going to be teaching.

Monday I’ll be teaching my first English class, then my Grimm’s Fairy Tale class, and finally I’ll be teaching Theater Sports for my non-academic class.

I can’t wait to get to know the students who I’ll be spending my summer with!
