DREAM Act: Killed Again

You may remember that Adam posted on the DREAM Act a few weeks ago. Despite a good amount of momentum behind this long-building initiative. It failed in the Senate yesterday. There was a lot of back and forth, but it looks like it may be a while before this will come up again.

I love that in cable news there’s just a seamless blend of journalism and opinion, all rolled into one. At least Dobbs didn’t do so much of his usual Nostradamus-style-prophecies-of-America’s-doom bit.

Even with the Dream Act dead for now, I hope in time, through learning experiences like Breakthrough, future generations of young people will become more invested in understanding different aspects of this issue and seek solutions which are both practical and humane (though unfortunately, guys like Dobbs might then be out of a job).
