Those of you who are committed to a classroom teaching career, have a foundation in the issues and theories behind modern education, and are ready to get right into the classroom might be just perfect for these relatively new “Teacher Education Programs” offered by some Ed Schools. STEP at Stanford has a long Breakthrough history, and you’ve seen the Brown MAT program here before. Now meet the Crimson’s one-year offering:
Are you interested in becoming a middle or high school classroom teacher professionally? We already know you’d be great at it because you were a Breakthrough teacher!
The Harvard Graduate School of Education offers a one-year Teacher Education Program (TEP), leading to a master’s degree in education and teacher licensure. This innovative program is focused on the importance of translating candidates’ subject-matter knowledge into curriculum that can best engage today’s urban adolescents. Students undertake classwork and fieldwork to bring together theory and practice.
We cordially invite you to attend a Virtual Information Session about the Teacher Education Program:
Monday, December 8th
8:00-9:00 p.m. (EST)
Through this online event, you have the opportunity to learn about the program, hear from faculty and students, and ask questions. You can register for this event by visiting http://register.applyyourself.com/?id=harvard-ed&pid=1797&eID=20049&rid=1.
We hope that you will join us TODAY for this informative and interactive event!
